Puppy and Adult Dog Training Classes

Building better friendships between owners and their dogs!

A well-behaved dog can add fun and enjoyment to a home, while a dog that does not mind can be frustrating.  We want to help people cherish the time they spend with their pets by making those relationships easier.

West Central Veterinary Services now offers classes in puppy training and obedience classes for adult dogs.  This 10-week program is designed to help you communicate with your dog in his or her language.

Learning how your dog communicates will help to build a strong relationship between you and him or her.  Using this information, we will help you teach your pet obedience commands.

Our training will primarily use positive reinforcement that you and your dog are both likely to enjoy!!

Stay classes will be announced for 2017 soon!

Our Mission Statement:

Our mission is to build a better relationship between pets and pet owners by helping them communicate efficiently and constructively.  We accomplish this by helping our clients learn innovative ways to encourage desirable behaviors from their dogs.

 Learning Objectives for classes:

  • Dependable “Sit” and “Stay” until released

  • “Come” when called

  • “Down” (lay down)

  • Walk on a loose leash (alleviate that pulling on a leash walk most of our pets prefer to do).

  • Condition a calm “dog greet dog” approach when on a leash.

Must have updated vaccinations prior to starting class:  DHPP/DHLPP, Kennel Cough (Bordetella), and Rabies
