Admissions Policy

For the safety of your pet, all animals entering the hospital must be on a leash or in a carrier.

For the protection of your pet and others in the hospital, all hospitalized animals and surgery patients must be current on their vaccinations.  Dogs are required to be current on rabies and distemper vaccinations; kennel cough vaccination, although not required for hospital/surgery patients, is highly recommended.  Cats need to be current with rabies and distemper vaccinations.  If vaccinations were not performed at WCVS, we will need to see proof of vaccinations prior to admission.

All surgical admissions are to be received by 4:00 pm the day before surgery unless prior arrangements have been made.

All pets will be checked for external parasites when they arrive.  If external parasites (fleas, ticks, etc.) are present, the pet will be treated at the owners expense.

To save time when dropping off your pets for surgery, bring a signed and completed copy of the surgical/anesthetic release form with you.

We require a deposit of 50% of the estimated fees when your animal is admitted to the hospital for non-elective procedures, and payment in full is due upon discharge of your animal from our hospital.  For all elective surgeries (spays, castrations, dental cleanings, de-claws), payment in full is due upon discharge.

Payment Options

Payment is expected at time of service.  In order to keep operating costs as low as possible, West Central Veterinary Services is not able to extend credit.

For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover as well as cash and checks (driver's license number is required for use of checks).  We also accept CareCredit, a personal line of credit usable for payment of your pet's medical bills.  You may apply online at www.carecredit.com or we can assist you in the application process at the clinic.

Boarding Policy

We require all animals boarding in our kennels to be current on vaccinations, in good general health, and parasite free. This is for their protection as well as the protection of other guests staying in our kennels.

Dogs are required to be current on rabies, distemper, and kennel cough vaccinations.  Cats need to be current with rabies and distemper vaccinations.  If vaccinations were not performed at WCVS, we will need to see proof of vaccinations prior to boarding.

If external parasites (fleas, ticks, etc.) are present at time of drop off , the pet will be treated at the owners expense.

All accommodations are charged by the day.  All check-ins and check-outs will take place during normal business hours.  A complimentary bath will be given to pets staying over 3 days. Lots of TLC is included free of charge!

To save time when dropping off your pets, bring signed and completed copies of the boarding policies and the boarding release form with you.  Both forms need to be signed before your pet can stay with us.

Surgery Policy

Any pet admitted to the hospital for surgery will require an estimate to be prepared prior to any procedure.

Every pet that comes in for surgery or needs anesthesia will require a surgical release form.  Before your arrival, we recommend that clients read and/or print the form to sure that we can answer any questions that you may have at time of drop-off.  This will also help us to speed up check-in time upon your arrival.

For your convenience, reminder cards will be mailed to you when your pet is due for vaccinations or routine preventive health care.

Change of address

Please help keep our records current by updating us with any change of address, name or phone number.  Also, let us know about any changes in the status of the pets you currently own.  We depend on current and accurate records to insure you receive your pet’s reminders.  To save time during check-in, bring a completed copy of the information change form with you.
